Remote Dispatch

Remote Dispatch is a feature that allows a driver who is designated as the remote dispatcher to remotely dispatch new orders outside of the order panel and mobile apps. When this feature is enabled, an email will automatically be sent to the remote dispatcher for each new incoming order. The remote dispatcher can then forward the emails to other drivers who will be responsible for the orders. Only one driver can be designated as the remote dispatcher, but you can enter in multiple email addresses that are separated with commas for a single driver. For example, a driver can have an email address set to [email protected],[email protected].

It is important to note that orders dispatched this way through email will not automatically be updated in the list of orders shown in your order panel. The remote dispatcher will still need to update order statuses in the order panel in order to mark orders as dispatched or delivered.

We recommend using the Digital Waybill 2-way mobile apps for Android and iPhone, which have a setting to send notifications for new incoming orders. For details, see https://help.digitalwaybill.com/en/articles/10008240-mobile-apps-for-android-and-iphone#h_88533b0639

The remote dispatch feature can be enabled by clicking the 'Enable Remote Dispatch" button on the bottom left corner of your order panel.

Once this feature is enabled, the button will instead say "Remote Dispatching to Driver #" for the driver designated as the remote dispatcher.

You can click this button again to change the driver who is designated as the remote dispatcher, or to disable remote dispatching.
