All plans come with access to the Android and iOS mobile apps for drivers. The default version allows drivers to see their own orders and get notifications for any new orders dispatched to them.

Installing the app and logging in

Go to Drivers on the top of your main order panel and double-click on a driver. On the right side, there is a section for 2-Way Dispatching that has a CID and Driver ID - these are the credentials the driver will need to log into the mobile apps.

The driver will need to download and install the 2-way mobile app and log in with those credentials. You can click the Get Online button shown in the image above to send an email to the driver with the download links for convenience.

After logging into the mobile app, the drivers will need to grant permission to the apps to show notifications. If this permission is not granted, drivers will not get notifications for orders dispatched to them.

2-Way functionality

The 2-Way feature allows drivers to also update order statuses within the app (confirmed, picked up, delivered). When updating an order to be delivered in the mobile app, there is an option to record a signature from the recipient that will be available when viewing the order status in the order panel. There is also a feature for file attachments that will allow drivers to take and attach photos during pickup and delivery of an order. To add features to your billing plan, please contact us at [email protected]. You can view your current features at the top-right corner of your Settings.

New order notifications

By default, drivers will get mobile app notifications for any orders dispatched to them. There is an additional setting for drivers to be able to see and get notifications for newly placed orders that have not been dispatched. When viewing a driver, there is a checkbox setting for New orders notification (undispatched).

Mobile Dispatch

For placing and dispatching orders from within the mobile app, the mobile dispatching feature is required. More details can be found at https://help.digitalwaybill.com/en/articles/9660419-mobile-dispatch.
