If you can provide us with some information about your computer and your Digital Waybill installation, we can provide a better estimate of how long the version 5.0 update will take.
There are 4 pieces of information required to get a better idea of how long the update will take:
The computer's CPU model
The computer's C drive type
The size of files in the Digital Waybill folder
The computer's internet speed
Getting the CPU model
Press the Windows key on your keyboard (between the
ctrl
andalt
keys on the bottom left of the your keyboard). This will open the Start Menu. Type in "system information" and this should show a matching option with a computer icon. Click on this.This will open a new window. Look for the line that says
Processor
and write down what it says next to it. You can also take a screenshot or picture of the whole row like this:
Getting the C drive type:
Press the Windows key on your keyboard to open the Start Menu and type in "optimize drives". This will show an option like this that you can click:

Getting the size of Digital Waybill files:
Open the folder where Digital Waybill is installed. There are 2 ways of doing this.
If you have a shortcut for Digital Waybill on your desktop, right-click on it and select the option for "Open file location". This will open the Digital Waybill folder.
If you don't have a shortcut on your desktop, you can open the file explorer.
In the Digital Waybill folder, find how many numbered
FileAttachmentDatabase
files there are and note down the highest number. For example, the highest number in this screenshot is 3:
Getting the computer's internet speed:
Go to Google and search for "speedtest".
There should be a box on top with a button for "RUN SPEED TEST". Click that button and wait for the test to run.
Note down or take a screenshot or picture of the resulting numbers.
