Linking with QuickBooks Online

On your Digital Waybill main order panel, go to Settings at the top and click on Software Settings on the left side of the popup. There will be a checkbox setting for Use QuickBooks Online near the middle - check this.

This will show a popup for you to log into your QuickBooks Online company. Log in and allow Digital Waybill to access your QuickBooks company.

Once the link is successful, close your order panel and reopen it. This will enable all of the QuickBooks Online features. The next step is configuring your QuickBooks Online to work with Digital Waybill.

Configuring QuickBooks Online

There are a few things that need to be configured for QuickBooks Online invoicing to work with Digital Waybill. Log into your QuickBooks Online company to begin the configuration.

Click on the gear icon on the top right and go to the Account and Settings page.

Click on Sales on the left. On the right side, under the section for Sales form content, edit the settings and disable Custom transaction numbers, as shown below. Save the change.

Click on the gear icon on the top right and go to the Custom form styles page, below the Account and settings. Look for the Standard style and click the Edit button on the right of it.

Click the option to Select a different font and set it to Courier and 10pt.

Click on the Content tab on top.

Click on the ACTIVITY section in the middle of the invoice template on the right side.

This will display some settings on the left. Click on the button for EDIT LABELS AND WIDTHS.

Configure the settings to match the screenshot below. Note that when you change one of the sliders, it will automatically update the other slider.

Click the Done button on the bottom right to save your changes. This will take you back to the previous page for Custom form styles. On the top right corner, click on the button for New style and click on Invoice.

Give this new invoice style a name, such as Default invoice. The exact name doesn't matter as long as you can remember it.

Try to make the same changes above for the font and content. If the Standard style was configured properly, in the previous steps, all of the settings should already be the same for this new invoice style. Click on the Done button on the bottom right to save this new template.

Find this new template in the list and click on the down arrow on the far right, next to the Edit button. Click on Make default.

This updates your QuickBooks online invoice styling to work with Digital Waybill.
