Run QuickBooks Desktop and open the company file you want to link. Open the Digital Waybill order panel. Go to Settings > Software Settings. On the bottom left click the “Use Default” button.

This should show a prompt in QuickBooks asking if you want to allow Digital Waybill access. Select the option to grant access whenever the company file is open. If the input to type in yes is greyed out, you need to first click on the link for "Learn more about permissions of applications that integrates with QuickBooks".

After QuickBooks is linked, an invoice template also needs to be set up. The template name must be “Digital Waybill Template”. There is a file in the Digital Waybill install directory (default is C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Digital Waybill Order Panel\) that can import the invoice template. You can right-click on your Digital Waybill Order Panel shortcut and select "Open file location" to open this folder. There are 2 files for Digital Waybill Template.DES and Digital Waybill Template Canada.DES. If you use QuickBooks Canada, double-click the Canada file. All other versions can double-click the other file. This should open a template in QuickBooks. Just click OK and the template should get imported.

Troubleshooting

If the “Use Default” button is greyed out and there is a message for "Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID" when opening software settings, you might need to manually install the Quickbooks driver. Download the file from http://services.digitalwaybill.com/DW/QB/qb.exe and run it to install the necessary driver. Close and reopen the Digital Waybill order panel and the "Use Default" button should be available.

If you get an error for Digital Waybill Template not found when trying to run invoices to QuickBooks, make sure the invoice template is set up according to the instructions above.
