New customers can sign up for an account online.
First, the setting needs to be enabled. Click on
Settings
at the top of your main order panel and this will open up the settings screen. SelectAdvanced
on the left side of the screen. There will be an option forAllow Customer Web Account Creation
. Select the setting that you want to use:No
- This functionality is disabled and new customers will not be able to sign up online.Yes (Approval required)
- Customers will need to enter in a valid email address, and won't be able to log in until you approve them. The approval process is described below.Yes (No Approval)
- Customers will be able to sign up online and appear as a customer without any approval required. They will not have the ability to do price checks by default.Yes (No Approval with Price Check)

. You can specify the website alias to use for your company by clicking on theChange
button. This is the website where your customers will sign up and place orders at. The website will always begin withhttps://www.dwaybill.com/
.When your customers go to the website, there will be an option at the top open an account.
This will display a form they need to fill out.
If you are using the setting for
Yes (Approval required)
, the customer will need to enter in a valid email address. After they submit their information, they will get an automated email with a verification link they need to click to confirm their email address. After they click this link, they will appear at the top of theCustomers
list with a yellow highlight, indicating they are awaiting approval. You can double-click the customer to view their information and change any information or permissions. ClickingSave and Close
will mark this customer as approved, and they can log in and place orders online.The customer will now be displayed in your customer list and they will be able to log in and place orders online using the same website they signed up at.
